چکیده

Because of rising energy demand and pollution concerns in the transportation industrial sectors, alternative fuel development is critical. The fusel oil, which a by-product ethanol distillation molasses, receiving lot interest. combustion characteristics, performance, emissions 1.8L turbocharged four-cylinder, port injection, spark-ignition engine will be used to compare oil blends with gasoline this study. experiment was carried out at constant speed 2000 rpm throttle load 10-40%. Four samples various ratios combined were tested (100% gasoline, 10%, 20%, 30% are referred as F0, F10, F20, F30 respectively). As result, compared increase Brake Specific Fuel Consumption (BSFC) by 5-22%. In comparison behaviour in-cylinder pressure, Rate Heat Release (ROHR), Of Pressure Rise (ROPR), Mass Fraction Burn (MFB) shows an early 2-3 Degree Crank Angle (CAD). Due differences attributes oxygen content, Thermal Efficiency (BTE) utilising suffers modest drop 13-16%. When emit 3-4% less hydrocarbon (HC), 7.5-24.5% carbon monoxide (CO), 18-36% nitrogen oxide (NOx). To summarise, without water extraction blended have substantial impact on turbocharger functioning.

Effect of Ignition Timing, Equivalence Ratio, and Compression Ratio on the Performance and Emission Characteristics of a Variable Compression Ratio Si Engine using Ethanol-Unleaded Gasoline Blends

This paper investigates the effect of ethanol-unleaded gasoline blends (E0,E10,E25,E35,andE65) computer interfaced, four-stroke single cylinder compression ignition engine. The said engine wasconverted to spark ignition and carburetion to suit ethanol fuel. A suitable provision was provided on theengine to vary the compression ratio thereby making the engine adaptable to operate at lowercompres...

Effect of Compression Ratio on Emission of CI Engine using Neat Karanja Oil and Karanja Oil Methyl Ester Blends

The standard design parameters of a compression ignition engine fail to give specified performance with strait vegetable oil (SVO) from different origins. This study is performed to find the effect of compression ratio on emission characteristics such as carbon monoxide (CO), carbon dioxide (CO2), hydrocarbon (HC), nitrogen oxides (NOx) and smoke opacity with all the tested fuels in a single cy...
